Mechanical Engineer

Location: St. Albans, Vermont

Position Description: Mechanical Engineer needed in the Mechanical Engineering Department of a growing biomedical instrumentation company. Primary responsibilities include translating concepts generated by pharmaceutical companies, government sponsored laboratories and university teaching and research centers into detailed mechanical designs and provide engineering support to the company’s production shop. Further responsibilities include fabrication, testing and evaluation of prototype components and systems, write product user manuals, design and engineering change documentation, customer support, and assist the Sales Dept. with proposal preparation.

Qualifications: The successful candidate will have a BSME as minimum and must be a reliable self-starter with a positive attitude. The candidate should have experience generating mechanical drawings using AutoCAD software (AutoCAD2002 or Mechanical Desktop 6 preferred) and be proficient with MS Office applications. Working knowledge of BobCAD 17 or (G-Code programming) and some experience with common machine shop tools (Lathe, mill, etc.) Is preferred.

Biomedical Marketing

Location: St. Albans, Vermont

Catamount Research & Development, Inc. is seeking applications to fill a position for a Biomedical Marketing. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing a marketing plan for both national and international sales for the following areas: Syringe Pumps, Human and Animal Electronic Physiological Instrumentation. Qualifications: The candidate will have had a responsible marketing position with a minimum of 5 years of experience and a proven record of developing successful marketing programs. Good computer, Internet, writing and communication skills are essential. Computer Software Engineer

Location: St. Albans, Vermont

Catamount Research & Development, Inc. is seeking applications to fill a position for a Computer Software Engineering.

Qualifications: This position requires an outgoing candidate, self-starter with good working knowledge of Visual C++ and Visual Basic for work in computer Vision dealing with tracking and object identification. Familiarity with electronics and PC interfacing a plus. The successful applicant will have strong technical writing skills.

Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related discipline.

Customer Support and Programmer

Position Location: St. Albans, Vermont

Position Description: The successful candidate will be one of our in house experts to answer questions regarding MED-PC programming and our behavior products. The candidate will communicate directly with customers, mostly via e-mail, to answer their questions and provide software support.

Qualifications: This position requires a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in the area of Neuroscience, Experimental Psychology, Behavioral Pharmacology, Toxicology and/or Computer Science. Familiarity with MED Associates’ behavioral products is essential. The successful candidate must be a motivated team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills, good attention to detail, be able to work independently and or with a cross functional group, and maintain good work attendance. Some travel may also be necessary.

Education: Bachelor’s or Master's degree.

Electrical Hardware Engineer

Position Location: St. Albans, Vermont

Position Description: Catamount Research & Development, Inc. is seeking applications to fill a position for a Electrical Hardware Engineer. The Primary responsibilities of this position include sustaining engineering support for existing products, new electronic product designs, test engineering, manufacturing support, and engineering/manufacturing documentation.

Qualifications: A minimum of three years experience as an Electrical Engineer in an electro-mechanical design and manufacturing environment is required. You must have skills in the complete product development cycle from initial design specifications through complete manufacturing documentation. Desired skills include: analog and digital circuit design, schematic capture, analog PCB layout, embedded system development, test engineering, and detailed engineering and manufacturing documentation. The successful candidate will be a motivated team player with excellent communication skills, have a strong technical foundation, superior attention to detail, and be able to work independently and or with a cross functional group.

Education: Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering
